Prayers

Oh Great Spirit,
Teach us to hear thy voice
In this turbulent time.
Listen to the trees
As they bend and flow.
Let the calm on a summer's day,
Guide us in our decisions.
Made in the generosity
And extension of our hand
And of a world at peace.
Lead with compassion and understanding.
God our Father,
We are told on the left and to the right,
Mother and Son uphold.
Intuition from the Spirit.
God the Father, God the Son, Holy spirit all in one.
Our Guides and Angels
Answer our prayers and bring us peace.
Guiding Deities offering light,
To illuminate our life.
Oh my Buddha, I pray.

  1. Having taught Catholic “education” for 35 years, I now find myself believing in no God, except the inate goodness of the human spirit.

Trees, nature, a summer day (or winter for that matter), compassion & understanding… These things affirm my beliefs in humankind, badly damaged by our divisions, yey seeking unison and light.

    1. I appreciate your reply Pad🙏
I believe in peace, kindness, a beautiful day, love for one another and strengths from within and trying to believe that we are also given light and hope for a reason so that in despair, we manage to go on.

      2. Sad story… Back in 1985,when I got a teaching job locally, the priest said “It would be nice” if I would use my name in Irish instead of Pat. At the time, I’d be making trouble for myself if I refused. Horrible fecker!
